1. Introduction
- The privacy of users of UANDP web platform, which is an information resource on the Internet containing text, graphic and other information and perceived as a whole and supported by a set of system software tools (hereinafter referred to as UANDP), is of great importance to us, and we make every effort to ensure its protection.
- This policy explains how we use your personal data (information).
- By agreeing to the use of cookies during your first visit to UANDP, in accordance with the provisions of this policy, you give us permission to use cookies during each of your subsequent visits.
2. Disposal of personal data
The holder and administrator of personal data of UANDP users is the Association “Association of Decarbonisation “Kogen Ukraine”.
3. Collection of personal data
The following types of personal data are subject to collection, storage, and use:
- Information about your computer, including your IP address, geographic location, browser type and version, and operating system;
- Information about your visits and use of UANDP, including referral sources, length of visits, pages viewed, and navigation paths on the platform;
- Information about the email address that you used to register for UANDP;
- Information you entered when creating your UANDP profile;
- Information such as your name and email address that you provided when you subscribed to our mailing lists and/or newsletters;
- Information you enter when using UANDP services;
- Information generated when using UANDP, including information about the time, frequency, and conditions of its use;
- Information regarding any purchases, services you have used or transactions you have made through UANDP;
- Information that you have posted on UANDP for the purpose of publishing it online, including your username, profile picture, and the content of your post;
- Information contained in any messages you have sent to us by email or through UANDP, including the content of the message and the metadata;
- Any other personal information you have sent to us.
Before you disclose personal information of a third party to us, you must obtain the consent of that person to both disclose and process that information in accordance with this policy.
4. Use of your personal information
The personal information you submit through UANDP will be used for the purposes described in this policy or on the relevant pages of UANDP. We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
- UANDP administration;
- personalising UANDP for you;
- enabling you to use the services available on UANDP;
- providing you with services obtained on UANDP;
- sending you messages, invoices, and payment reminders, and receiving payments from you;
- sending you non-marketing commercial messages;
- sending you emails that you have specifically requested;
- sending you newsletters to your email if you have requested them (you may notify us at any time that you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us);

- providing third-party companies with statistical information about our users (however, these third-party companies will not be able to identify any individual user from this data)
- handling inquiries and complaints made by you or about you and relating to UANDP;
- to ensure the security of UANDP and prevent fraud;
- to verify compliance with the terms and conditions, regulating the use of UANDP (including monitoring of private messages, sent through the UANDP private messaging service);
- and for other purposes.
If you have provided personal information for publication on UANDP, we will publish it.
Your privacy settings may be used to limit the publication of your personal information on UANDP, and may be adjusted through the privacy controls on UANDP.
We will not share your personal information with any third party company for direct marketing use by this or any other third party company without your explicit consent.
5. Disclosure of personal information
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, policyholders, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors to the extent and for the purposes set out in this policy.
We reserve the right to disclose your personal information:
- in cases where we are required to do so by law;
- in connection with any current or future legal proceedings;
- to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including providing information to other parties for fraud prevention or risk mitigation purposes);
- to any person who, in our reasonable opinion, may request a court or other authorised body to disclose such personal data and, in our reasonable opinion, such as court or authorised body orders the disclosure of such personal data.
We will not disclose your personal information to third parties, except as described in this policy.

- The information we collect may be stored, processed, and transferred between any countries in which we operate in order to enable us to use that information in accordance with this policy.
- The personal information you publish on UANDP via the Internet may be accessible worldwide. We cannot prevent its use or misuse for criminal purposes by unauthorised persons.
- By agreeing to this policy, you consent to the transfer of your personal information.
7. Personal data security
- Personal data that we process for a specific purpose or objectives shall not be stored longer than is necessary to achieve that purpose or those objectives.
- We will store documents (including electronic documents) that contain personal information:
- where we are required to do so by law;
- if we believe that these documents may be relevant to any current or future legal proceedings;
- and in order to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including providing information to other parties for fraud prevention or credit risk mitigation).
8. Protection of your personal data
- We will take sufficient technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss, misuse, or falsification of your personal data.
- We will store all personal information you provide on our secure (both password and firewall) servers.
- All electronic financial transactions made through UANDP will be protected by data encryption technology.
- You acknowledge that you are aware of the fact that the transmission of information over the Internet is inherently insecure and we cannot guarantee the protection of data sent over the World Wide Web.
- You are solely responsible for keeping your password for access to UANDP confidential. We will never ask you for your password (except when you attempt to log in to your UANDP account).
9. Your rights as a user (personal data subject)
We inform you about your rights as a personal data subject, which are regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, namely:
- know about the sources of collection, location of your personal data, the purpose of its processing, location or place of residence (stay) of the holder or manager of personal data or to give a corresponding order to obtain this information by persons authorized by you, except in cases determined by law;
- receive information about the conditions for granting access to personal data, including information about third parties to whom your personal data is transferred;
- access your personal data;
- receive a response on whether your personal data is processed no later than thirty calendar days from the date of receipt of the request, except in cases determined by law, and to receive the content of such personal data;
- submit a reasoned request to the personal data holder with an objection to the processing of your personal data;
- submit a reasoned request to change or destroy your personal data by any holder and manager of personal data, if such data is processed illegally or is unreliable;
- protect your personal data from unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction, damage due to intentional concealment, failure to provide, or untimely provision; as well as to protect against the provision of information that is inaccurate or discrediting the honour, dignity, and business reputation of an individual;
- file complaints against the processing of your personal data to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to the court;
- apply for legal remedies in case of violation of the legislation on personal data protection;
- make restrictions on the right to process your personal data when giving consent;
- withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- know the mechanism of automatic processing of personal data;
- be protected against an automated decision that has legal consequences for you.
To update, access, amend, block, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent to the processing of personal data that you have provided or if you have any comments, requests, or complaints regarding your personal data, please contact us using the appropriate UANDP functionality.
10. Changes and amendments
We reserve the right to make changes and amendments to this policy from time to time, and to publish a new version on UANDP. You should check this webpage periodically to ensure that you understand the content of the changes. We may also notify you of changes by sending you an e-mail or through UANDP’s private messaging system.
11. Third party websites
UANDP contains hyperlinks to, and details about, third-party websites and individuals. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy policies or practices of any third party companies or individuals.
12. Safety of minors
UANDP is not intended for use by minors. We take security issues very seriously, especially concerning minors, and therefore we urge parents to explain to their children about Internet security issues, their specific purpose, and the need for using certain UANDP services.
13. Updating information
Please notify us in a timely manner if your personal information held by us needs to be updated or corrected.
14. Cookies
UANDP uses cookies. A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser. Subsequently, the identifier is sent back to the server each time the browser requests a web page from the server. Cookies can be either “persistent” or “session”: persistent cookies will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until the expiration date unless deleted by the user in advance; “session” cookies, on the contrary, will be deleted after the end of the session on the website or after the browser is closed. - On UANDP, we use Google Analytics and Adwords to recognize a computer when a user visits UANDP / track user navigation on the website / allow the use of the user’s shopping cart on the website / improve the usability of the website / analyze the use of the website / administrate the website / prevent fraud and improve the security of the website / personalize the website for each user / target advertising that may be of interest to individual users;
- Most browsers allow you to refuse the use of cookies, for example:
- in Internet Explorer, you can block using the cookie management settings available in the menu “Tools” – “Internet Options” – “Privacy” – “Advanced”;
- in Firefox, you can block all cookies by clicking on “Tools” – “Options” – “Privacy”: in the drop-down menu, select “Use custom log settings” and deselect “Accept cookies from websites”;
- in Chrome, you can block all cookies by going to the “Settings & Management” menu, selecting “Settings” – “Show Advanced Settings” and “Content Settings”, and then selecting “Prevent sites from sending any data” under the “Cookies” heading.
- Blocking all cookies will have a negative impact on the user experience of many websites. If you block cookies, you may not be able to use many of the features of our UANDP.
- You can delete cookies that are already stored on your computer, for example:

- in Chrome, you can delete all cookies by entering the “Settings and Management” menu, selecting “Settings” – “Show advanced settings” and “Clear browsing data”, and then selecting “Delete cookies and other site data and plugins”.
